| What possible good business investments are available in Boquet or Panama? I am planning to migrate to a new home but wants to guarantee a stable stream of income after I do. Thanks Panama people. |
| Can you please provide a website that would show the possible business ventures I can invest into once I get a property in Boquete? What does it feel like to actually walk the streets of Boquete. Hope you can also provide a personal website of a couple or an expat living his life in Panama. Me and my Argentinian husband is planning to settle in a new country so it would be great if you can help us out. |
| Priscilla M Boquete is wonderful. We have been several times and purchased a home in Montanas de Caldera. Check out their website. Great people and great food and lots to do. Go to "Chiriqui Chatter" he is living in Boquete and an Expat. Jane or Cesar at Montanas can answer your questions as well. They have a great program. Tell them that Mike and Darlene sent you. On Montanas's website they have a blog as well. Also check out their newsletter. You will love Boquete. |

| "Possible to live in Volcan on $1,300 a month?"
My wife and I (I'm69, she 50)like to move to Volcan next year and will have to live on 1, 300 SS could that be done? After selling our home in West Palm Beach wich is free and clear we would have two choices: Buy a nice 2 bedroom house with a view (not in a development)for 100k and live on my SS and some svings or buy a spacious 4 or 5 bedroom, 4 bath on 1 acre with view converting it to a B&B for up to 190k plus some left to spare for other expenses.I'm still very active and also VERY handy, could even finish or renovate/alterate a house by having all immaginary tools. Property would have to be about 1 acre. we will be down ther this spring to look around depending on your response primarily to my first question. Last question: Any reliable/honest R E agent in Vulcan? Thanks! Karlheinz Nellen |
| ""Possible to live in Volcan on $1,300 a month?""
Karl, I live with my Panamanian wife in Bajo Boquete on less than this and we don't live bad. Volcan is said to be even cheaper (I would not change my place, though!).Of course it depends on your standard of living, but yes, you can. Looks like you have found already a property in Volcan and this is why you ask. Otherwise if you want to consider Bajo Boquete where you can reach everything within about 10 minutes walk (I have not bought a car to live healthier), you can contact me personally. I have a 500 m2 lot, a piece of my finca available and including the land you can build a house for less than 100 grands. Between my house and the available lot there is a nice orchard and garden. This is not in an expat development but in a (nearly) pure Panamanian area (of course, since I live here it is not "pure" anymore). |
