Panama City Bed and Breakfast

I'm looking for a good family oriented bed and breakfast in Panama City. Any recommendations? Websites?

Thank author of this post/comment El Litoral sounds like a nice bed and breakfast inn. El Litoral is near the best mall and restaurants in Panama City. Also, El Litoral is very close to the airport and the tourist attractions. I think its very family oriented because you can play sports, go to the beach, play golf, and enjoy the nature. You can visit the web link for more information.

Thank author of this post/comment Arcos de Bella Vista is within walking distance of the newest tourist destination. This bed and breakfast offers airport transportation to and from the airport. They offer private tours with well knowledgeable tour guides. This bed and breakfast is a nonsmoking facility.

Thank author of this post/commentI have heard good things about Arcos de Bella Vista. My friend visited Panama last year and stayed at this bed and breakfast. She said that the staff was very friendly and there was a lot of attractions near the location. You can go the website to find out more information.

Thank author of this post/commentPatty's Casitas looks very nice. Prices are very reasonable as well. They even provide babysitting at an additional price!

Thank author of this post/commentIf you can find a "real" B&B that is your best place to stay, especially in a foreign country. By "real" B&B I mean one that has a common area for breakfast, preferable one large table. It is even better if the rooms don't have TV's and there is one living room people hang out in rather than alone in their rooms.

If you stay at a hotel, and eat in their restaruant you'll usually find that you eat with your family and don't talk to anyone else.

At a bed and breakfast with one large table for breakfast, the social environment is much more like one big family. Everyone interacts with everyone. People on their way home have great stories about where they've been. People arriving have lots of questions. You'll make new friends and maybe take some tours together.

Thank author of this post/commentWhen I travelled through England and Wales I stayed mostly at bed and breakfast stops. It was great. You get great treatment, fantastic breakfasts at a fraction of hotel costs and wonderful people to meet.

After doing that in England I would probably do it no matter where I went to travel through. As far as I'm concerned B&B's are the greatest places to stay.

One time in England we ended up getting soaking wet and when we arrived at the B&B they took our clothes and hung them in the Drying Closet... which was an opening in the duct work where the hot air left the building and by morning our clothes were dry as a bone.

George, I do think 'all the best' would be the best reaction to your post. Tastes and preferences differ and some people will prefer to access better services at an extra cost irrespective of their locations. It is important to source for information including descriptions, rates and other offers in order to make an informed choice

As far as recommendations are concerned, there should be plenty of such. Are there specific things you consider like how much to spend and so on? The real Bed and Breakfast seems like it would appeal to the social type. In case you prefer a quiter time, a hotel would be your best bet.

Look for the best in offers and services..those that make you 'feel at home.'

moy has a point there. Personally i would go for hotel room instead. I love the comfortability and privacy it offers. Not to mention the special things in it that makes it special...

Well then preferences differs in each individual so they are or we are entitled for our own choice, but i strongly suggest that you go for a hotel room, :)

Well i just hope that someone post some more info..

Thank author of this post/commentA bed and breakfast is really much better... you get the privacy of a hotel room and a social environment as well.

Bed and Breakfast anywhere is a lovely thing to have. In Panama city, however, this is just the icing on the cake, so to speak.

Have to agree. And besides if you try to check in in a hotel, that would be very much more expensive. but i think it would still depends on the preference of the people.

Also, hotels tend to have much more people, and quite more often. This is why I would much rather stay at a Bed and Breakfast, or an Inn, or something of the sort.

I would not trade a hotel for a bed and breakfast, at no time at all. The class is too important to me.

Thank author of this post/comment"Hotels are boring and lonely"

If you've never stayed at a good bed and breakfast you have no idea what you are missing. That is especially true if you are vacationing in or thinking about moving to someplace like Panama or Costa Rica.

What you get at a bed and breakfast that is worth more than 10 times the price of your room is the social interaction with the other guests at breakfast time. You'll learn more than the guide books or living in books have to offer.

You might even make what will turn out to be life long friends. In a hotel the most you can hope for is that someone says excuse me if they bump into you on the way to buffet.

A place is what we make it. This is why it is that we need to always try to make the best of our surroundings.

I would also go for the bed and breakfast with the same reason as Jim has in mind. I am this kind of person that would want to meet a lot new faces and make lots of friends. And I am sure that you cannot meet them at hotels, well unless you are good at knocking on each rooms and have a chat. But I have to agree on that post by Smithy.
