A person in my group mention that we should hire a guide to show us around Panama. Is it worth hiring a guide to show us the the in's and outs in Panama? Trackbacks

I think hiring a guide depends on what you want to do in Panama. If you want to explore villages, jungle or mountains in the interior, perhaps it's a good idea especially if you don't speak Spanish.

You should be able to find a tour for most things to do in Panama. If you are staying at the resort, rent a car, grab a map and head out. But if you want to check out the city hire a taxi, find one who speaks at least some English and let him be your guide.

Yeah, when I travel I used maps and sometimes help from locals. I usually find my way with the map. I have to admit I do get lost sometimes. I guess you have to do what makes you and your party feel comfortable.
