| Getting around There are roads, but not all of them are paved. There are cars, but the majority are not well maintained. People generally do not adhere to rules of the roads or niceties like turn signals or brakes. Being a pedestrian isn't advisable. Taxis are abundant. Buses are good and cheap means of getting around. |
| Hmmmm.. those are great information about the transportation in the country of Panama. I am very much interested in learning more about the transportation in the said country since I will be having a trip there with regards to my work. I need all of your tips and suggestions here. What about renting a car, where can I find one or how much would renting cost me? Hope to hear from all of you soon. |
| "Pedestrian"
THe post up top, according to the post date anyway, is 3 years old.I disagree with "being a pedestrian isn't advisable". It depends on where you are of course, but if there are place you want to go within walking distance and you don't have to walk through a bad area to get there, it fine. And a great way to take in the scenary. I always notice new things when I walk, even in areas I drive by all the time. Be careful crossing the street though, what they said about drivers still applies. It is kind of crazy. Roads are getting better, slowly. |
