| Real Estate prices for rural living? It looks like we should have found out about the Boquete area 5 years ago-at least as far as real estate, property, and/or home prices are concerned. We currently live on 20 acres about twenty miles west of Des Moines, IA, the state capital. It is quite rural, though, even though it is just a 20 minute drive into the 'big city'.I know that the local Boquete area real estate prices have really skyrocketed recently. But, if we were to look for 7-10 hectares of rural Chiriqui land, (I am wondering two things. First, where in the Boquete/Volcan area would we find the most 'reasonable' prices and, second, how concerned should we be safety from property theft, etc. if we buy and build away from a town? |
Comment #103/21/10 13:07Paradise, Veraguas, Panama!!!!!! | "Rural Land, Western Azuero Peninsula"
Jim, The Boquete area is a great area with a large western community. You are correct that the prices have skyrocketed there. If you wanted to look into rural living in another area that is developing, please feel free to look into the western Azuero Peninsula. We have a growing community here comprised of ocean view (mountain) and ocean front properties. We have lone real estate sites along with lots that are part of developments that will include green spaces and enhance the natural landscape. Expats are looking more and more into this area because of its inexpensive prices, great local community, commanding western views and coastlines, and of course the natural landscape of mountains and coastline so close together. Please feel free to contact us and we can answer any questions regarding Panama travel, relocating or legal concerns. best, j and a |
