Panama Politics Politics, Panama
Dave Kuehls from Montreal Hotel -
Hi, I am new to this blog. I just want to know why we seem to be picking a fight with Iran when Iraq is such a mess. I learned in the school yard to take one fight at a time. Why should it be any different in wars. Oh, I forgot. We are also in a war in Afghanistan. I just hope that peace comes soon...Peace to us all... Trackbacks

This is true, however, I think you are discussing the States and not Panama.Panama has their own internal problems when it comes to politics. As do most of the South American countries. There seems to be a lot of infighting that takes place. However, just discussing politics, it takes place in a framework of a presidential representative democratic republic, whereby the President of Panama is both head of state and head of government and has a multi-party system.

I believe that Panama is in Central America, not South America. After once has traveled and lived on those areas the difference becomes aparent. Although parts of Central and South America have similar clients (those parts near the equator) the culture and societies are vastly different. Central America resembles what one might refer to as Banana Republics. South American countries though with problems tend to be significantly more advanced.
