| Beaches of Panama Can anyone suggest a Few beaches that are great to visit. IE that are resort like, possibly have a gentleman named Pablo who will serve me my favorit drinks ocean-side? haha I've been using Google, all the beaches are STUNNING... Just hoping someone here knows first hand what they liked? Thanks ... Tracy |
| Tracy, I like your sincerity..it would not be a perfect one if no gentleman was on hand to take your requests. It would help if you became a bit specific about where exactly you are considering a vacation in. That way, it will be easy finding your way through. Come to think of the many beaches the world over..they are outrageous in number! |
| Let see if I can answer your question about beaches in Panama. I used to love to go out in the boat in Miami Beach the coast have blue water sandbars and the idea of Carlos coming to serve you a drink is really far way from it. Carlos will come to You if you you cgo to Cabo. If you want Blue waters you will have to drive hours or take a plane and the idea that you can walk around with your suit is not a rule in Panama so you will have to cover everytime U come to get your own drink. I hope I have answer your question. Do not get surprise if you see people dropping cans and garbage on your beach, Panameniam are not known for loving or protecting what they have. |
| Tracy, that would be PLAYA BLANCA! You will have to make reservations, especially if you are going on a weekend, it will be packed. It costs less during the week and less people. They offer an all inclusive package and it's not too expensive for what you get. I'm not talking about Nikki Beach in the Playa Blanca area......unless you are gay, then it's fine. Although most of their adds don't show it, in Panama they specialize in privacy for gay couples. I have heard that Playa Coronado is nice too but I haven't been there (never been to Nikki either, by the way). |
| Might I suggest google: Bocas del Toro. You will probably like that area it is beautiful. Lots to do and see. Snorkle, Dive, Fish, Sun bathe, Swim with the dolphins, Party..... |

Vidaverde is correct about Panama specializing in "privacy" for gay couples.......the problem is Panama is a 3rd world country that still has that "macho" image! Gays are not openly "out" for fear of getting their butt kicked or worse!....... most of the guys in the clubs will not even dance together to keep up their "macho" image! The few (maybe 4) gay clubs are very low class, $10.00 entry for all the beer you can drink, so when 500 to 1, 000 guys are at the bar begging for more beer, it is impossible to get a refill. NOT a good experience in Panama if you are gay, including police that harass gays. There are NO "Hate Crime" laws in Panama................ I should know, my partner was murdered in Panama City 2 months ago because he was a gay Panamanian........he has several posts on this site, his name, Marco Martinez. And the murderer??????? This was one of 5 MURDERS that week in PC! Panamanian authorities have done NOTHING toward this investigation, even though a drivers license was found at the murder scene in our apartment! It is a well-known fact that if you're gay, you're outta luck in Panama! Good Luck with visiting Panama. I'm safely back in Florida and have NO plans to ever visit Panama! |
