Does US Medicare cover anything in Panama?

Medicare does not cover you in Panama. But continue to take it with your Social Security in case when you are visiting home, you will be covered. You can purchase a hospital policy down there very cheap. Dr. visits run about $25.00 and they have been trained in US. Also they have John Hopkins and the Mayo clinic down there. We know of someone that was in ICU for 3 weeks and the bill was only 27K. In the US that would have been 500K. They didn't have any insurance. • Page 1 (Original Post) •
