Medicare does not cover you in Panama. But continue to take it with your Social Security in case when you are visiting home, you will be covered. You can purchase a hospital policy down there very cheap. Dr. visits run about $25.00 and they have been trained in US. Also they have John Hopkins and the Mayo clinic down there. We know of someone that was in ICU for 3 weeks and the bill was only 27K. In the US that would have been 500K. They didn't have any insurance.
