Plums from the thrush tree -

Are there any wild life sanctuaries in Panama? If so where are they located and do they have camping facilities? I'm particularly keen on bird watching.

Yes, Panama has ten wildlife sanctuaries. They have a whole package dedicated to bird watching and visiting the sanctuaries. Check out the website to find more information.

Bird watching is a nice activity on Bocas del Toro. It's not a completely expanded program yet, apparently, but it's growing.
