Just to make you all aware crime is on the increase here. I myself have been the victim. Car jacking, is what happened to me and it has nearly frightened me to death. My car was LOCKED, but they had a device and got in while I was in the driving seat. I was assaulted and robbed. Also express kidnappings are happening but the goverment are not reporting this to the media.

Yes, you are right. I was car jacked myself, car gone, wallet, phone and documents in the glove compartment that the cops said 'HAD' to be there. Are house has been broken into, even though we have CCTV, ALARM, DOGS, BARS ON WINDOWS.......they used a cutting device. It took 45 mins for the cops to arrive...........What can we do. We live in a so called good/decent area. my property cost half a million dollars. But I maintain we were cased. Our insurance company are so unhelpful. We were told our laundry on the clothes line probably showed we are foreign! HOW, I ask. We buy our clothes here!. No one gives a rats ass! Just be careful folks

I cant believe this, I was car-jacked to. It happened to me in the middle of the day. To be honest its the last on a long list of things here. Why is it not on the papers, I know why, its the land of BULL.The truth NEVER comes out. and if your noy from here, no one gives a . I am sorry for the bad language, but I need to express my frustration and make people awake of this place. Its all BULL here, think twice about coming. This is only the tip of my story.

i understand many people frustration here, but you need to know you guys are not the only ones being robbed also the panamenian citizens, and about kidnapping thats false, at least we dont have the percent of what happens in the u.s , sorry but many gringos that come to relocate arent saints, some come here and later on they have discover they are fugitives back in the u.s . so whats better?

We were broken into three times - while we slept in the house with two dogs. I bought a paint ball gun. Got them in the ass the third time - no break ins since.

crime has increased that's true but a new government will step up on may 6 and they just announced that they will come up with good strategies to control the high rate crimes in panama...it's just a matter of time. hopefully that would be under control during the new government.may 3rd would be election day for all Panamaniams. • Page 1 (Original Post) •
