| Real people... real opinons I am recently retired here in Las Vegas and I am looking into moving to Panama.I am joining the site to get real people's opinion of Panama. It would be nice to know some people at least digitally as it would be just myself and my dog Sammy moving there. This move would be a new chapter and adventure in my life. I am in the process of learning Spanish and hope to be at least semi- fluent when I get there. |
| "Civil Unrest"
There is some civil unrest happening in parts of Panama now, from the US Embassy travel advisories it seems to be alot around the Costa Rica boarder.I'd be interested in some real opinions from people in the area as to whether this present any real risk... and what it may bring for the near and distant future. |

Jim, I read about the civil unrest after I made my post and it appears there are different opinions about the cause. It also appears that Panama native are not willing to talk about it too much. Check out some blogs thru google for "Panama unrest". That should help you out. |
