| relocation info I'm strongly considering leaving the U.S. with my wife and 3 children ages 10, 8, and 6 we dont know a lot about Panama but have heard good things about it, we're very tired of the rat race and being taxed to our eyeballs to support an ever growing out of control and soon bankrupt federal government, we're looking for a place that's still relatively free maybe like America was 30 or 40 years ago, so if any of you have found Panama to be this kind of place please let me know, we'd like to go check it out sometime.... |

Roberto, We sympathize with your emotions currently. We left Texas 5 years ago and have challenged ourselves with great Panamanian living since then. We are raising a family here with two boys and a third on the way. The area of the western Azuero is a growing area and a great place to raise children. There are schools in the area and we also do a bit of homeschooling to supplement. With a great, diverse community there are plenty of cultures to experience and share with. If you wanted to look into rural living in another area that is developing, please feel free to look into the western Azuero Peninsula. We have a growing community here comprised of ocean view (mountain) and ocean front properties. We have lone real estate sites along with lots that are part of developments that will include green spaces and enhance the natural landscape. Expats are looking more and more into this area because of its inexpensive prices, great local community, commanding western views and coastlines, and of course the natural landscape of mountains and coastline so close together.
