* On getting a gun permit in Panama ...I only have second hand information on this so far, but I believe you can, if you have residency. I'm pretty sure it's very similar to Costa Rica. Handguns and shotguns are easy to get, and it's not difficult to get a carry-permit for the handgun. Probably easier than in most U.S. States. Another problem with Costa Rica is, because of the taxes, almost all handguns are $1100. Even the base-line Glocks. [Which you can buy used in the U.S. for about $350-$450] I've been told that in Panama, you can't own high powered rifles. But I have a feeling that the guy who told me this was talking more along the lines of AK's and semi autos. I'll have to check, but I bet handguns are cheaper in Panama, because of the Canal, they don't need to tax all of the consumer purchases. Read the rest from "Costa Rica Jones"... Trackbacks

Found a link! Synopsis for Lee: It's Tough hahahaha Blood tests, phsych tests, surrenduring your weapons while you complete these tests ... If that doesn't peak your interest to read on, I don't know what will! :-)
