Mel Gibson to shoot movie in Panama?

Thank author of this post/commentLooks like he's looking into Panama being the set for his next big film! Wondering if there's a big film industry down there? I'm from Hollywood north (Vancouver, BC) ... movies are ALWAYS being filmed here, and movie stars are frequent in my neighbourhood (Had Rene Zellweger give me a 100$ starbucks card a few months back! haha)

Good news for Panama though!

Thank author of this post/commentWow, I really look forward to another movie by Mel Gibson. Mel Gibson movies are so graphic and straightforward. Also, I think Panama is a great location for a movie shoot. So you live in North Hollywood? Sounds, like a great location. Why did Rene Zellweger give you a star bucks card?

Thank author of this post/commenthey ... Rene... No idea! I was standing in line with her at Starbucks in Vancouver, where she was filming a movie. And we got talkin, I was walking out side and she ran after me saying "Hey, I was trying to buy your coffee but you got away too fast" and handed me a Starbucks card. I said "Thanks, my name is Danielle by the way" and she said "I'm rene" (like duh!) haha when I went to buy my coffee the next morning, I noticed a balance of 100$ ... I got in touch with her PA to say thank you! haha

I have yet to see either Apocolypto or Passions of the Christ to be honest ... but I LOVED braveheart! haha *I'm of scottish descent*

Thank author of this post/commentWow, that was some story. I'm surprised that she was so open for a conversation but you probably wasn't acting like a "crazed fan". I saw Passion of the Christ but not Apocalyptic. She gave you her PA contact information? You must have really made an impression.

Thank author of this post/commentCool story about Renee. She is probably one of the few actresses that I feel is truly genuine and cares about her fans.

As far as the Mel Gibson movie...how great that is for Panama's economy!!

Thank author of this post/commentI wonder if, like filming in Canada, it's just more economical to film in Panama and it's a big draw. Or if Mel Gibson is going to make a movie about native Panamanians. Hmmm.

Thank author of this post/commentI'm not too thrilled with Mel Gibson anymore after his highly publicized alcohol mishap. I wonder if there are more people like myself who have kind of lost their interest in him and if he will still bring people into the movies.

Thank author of this post/commentWEll, I know a lot of people are very unhappy with him after he went through his drunken tirade but I still think he can bring in the people to see his movies.

Thank author of this post/commentI don't think his outbursts will stop his movie sales.I don't agree with the remarks that he made but sometimes the media has a way of distorting things. If any, that outburst may make him more popular. America loves drama.

Yea I heard about this new Mel Gibson movie. It is supposed to be really good stuff as well, because this is all that the Melster is known for producing anyway. He is a very inspirational director, one who you can tell is really drawn into what it is that he is doing, and most times, he comes up with something that is simply prime.
