I am planning a visit to Panama for spring break or a summer vacation.I really like to dance and lately I been practicing my salsa dancing. I would love to dance among the professional dancers. During my visit, I plan to go to the clubs for dancing and drinks. Can someone recommend a club that's hip and frequent with the young crowd? Trackbacks

I'm not really a club person but when traveling I visit some clubs with friends. I went to Panama a few months back and my friends talked me into visiting this club called "The Buzz". This club plays all types of music and I really enjoyed my time at The Buzz. There were people of all ages at the club but mostly people from teens to twenties. If you are going to Panama I would recommend that you stop by The Buzz for lots of fun and dancing.

Yes, I been asking around about the nightlife because I'm a party girl. One of my friends recommended this club called "The Next". I hear it's suppose to be one of the biggest clubs in Panama. The Next is a more trendy upscale club with some of the biggest party and concerts.

Discoteca Dreams: they play hip hop music there ... as well as pop and rock ... I actually did a search to see if I could find you a review! and here one is. ... where abouts in Panama are you going? that can help find you a club too :) One of my favourite nightclubs by far. I remember that this place was the first place I decided to check out, and after trying out other clubs, it was between this one and Tabou I decided to go to the most. After paying a small B5.00 fee (Balboa is on par, and IS the USD) you walked upstairs, recieved a bracelet for your hand to show you were over 18, and in you went to a large nightclub. It was dark inside. 2 Bars on the top with plush seating, and then downstairs the DJ spun tunes from the USA, Europe, and spanish merengue. People were all over the large dancefloor below. A beautiful population, mainly women, frequent this club. I'd say the club was about 70% women and 30% men. Many women wore backpacks, which meant they brought a change of clothing, in case they "didn't go home that night." Occasionally you'd see an older fellow robbing the cradle with some panamena bonita. It is obvious what his intentions are. Hers are in his wallet. The music rocked. When I was in Panama, one of my favourite songs called "The music sounds better with you" by Stardust was popular in the club. My eyes and hair are brighter than the local population so I always recieved a fair amount of attention. Most people here tend to dance in modern fashion, meaning looking nice but no suit and tie. You will sweat as you dance, as the club seems to be void of air conditioning. I think they do this on purpose to get you to buy more beer, which is actually pretty cheap. Although a few encounters I had with some drunk guys over my many times here, I always had a good time. Avoid going though on Mondays and Tuesdays if you are not of Latinos decent, as these nights seem to be dedicated to just latinos.

Stacey, thanks for the info. It sounds like a club that has lots of dancing and fun. The review make it sounds like the women are prostituting for money.

HAHAHAHA i see what you mean! about the Backpacks. I did a google search for you (as Stacey's post wasn't very helpful) but I didn't have much luck either. That night club was the only one listed on a few websites with "hip hop" specifically in it.

No problem, thanks for all the information. I'm sure that I will find a spot that me and the gang will enjoy while visiting Panama. I will take you guys information into consideration. I doubt you find any information about why the ladies are carrying overnight bags. LOL!
