| HELLO Hello ! I am also a new member. Would a newcomer be warmly welcome here? Good day you guy ! |
| "Of course..."
BUT not when you are here to spam completely irrelevant links like yours was (before I deleted it). That is completely unwelcome. also unwelcome is people who make a post that it irrelevant to the link their provide. The most welcome are those who come here to participate and include relevant links (to their own or other) sites. Of course participation without linking is welcome too. Notice the keyword here is "participation" and "relevant". This is a forum about Panama, and living, retiring or visiting. |
| Hi to all. I am in need for some good tips and suggestions with regards to the best destinations in Panama. I have been thinking of getting some good vacation in the said country and so it would be a lot of help if any good travel tips be posted in here as well. It would also be great if any good links be posted in here as well. Thanks a lot. |

Comment #2My very first tip in traveling to Panama is "Don't drive in Panama City" unless you are use to crazy. You have to be very aggressive during busy time of day or you just sit there not moving. We rented a car and drove up the PanAmerican Highway and had a wonderful trip to Boquete. But coming back to the "big city" proved to be way to crazy for us. Cab fare in the city is very cheap and I recommend that as the way to go. We are currently trying to figure out a way to get a rental car on the outskirts of the city so we don't have to drive in the city. We loved our travels by car up the coast. What we usually do now is fly into Panama City then fly up to David and rent a car and drive around up in that area. If you decide to drive from "PC" to other towns, remember they have check points along the way and you may be asked for your passport. Just have it near by. We have never been hassled. Usually they will just wave you by. To drive from PC to David is about 6 hours with a brief stop for lunch. We usually drive up the coast and stay the night in a hotel on the beach before going inland. Panama has a bus line up to David as well that is suppose to be very nice, but we have never used it, so can't really comment on that. Make sure if you rent a car that you take their liability insurance. Your credit card will cover collision. In Panama you must take their liability, all though they don't tell you that. Even if your credit card covers liability, take theirs!!! If you get in a accident and hurt someone, you can not leave the country until their hospital has been paid. Your credit card company may take several months to pay, that is why we always take their liability. They pay out quickly as they are required to by law. Hope some of this helps, must get back to work. Will check this site later this week. |
| Panama has been known for good places to visit. That's why many local and foreign tourists would love to take a trip in Panama. Bocal del Toro is such a wonderful island. You should not miss various beach activities when you go there like diving, snorkelling, fishing, surfing, and the like. I was just amazed with the sunsets in Bocas del Toro. The view is really fantastic in there. |
| Hi there! I I were to retire in the next few years, I would probably choose Bocas del Toro in Panama which is a great place for retirement and even just for vacation. It is a place that we are all dreaming of after retirement. In fact, my family and I are visiting the place next year for the summer vacation. Thank you so much and have a great day to all! |
